square peg design is a company I started in 2001. I had started doing some small jobs for family and family friends, so I needed a company to manage the client facing aspect of my work. I developed a bespoke content management system in PHP and MySQL called CORE, to enable users manage their sites (I honestly didn’t hear the phrase Content Management System or CMS for another 3 or 4 years). This was pre-WordPress, pre-Drupal, so it was pretty cutting edge at the time. Though CORE hasn’t been updated in over 10 years, it’s still actively used and I support it as much as I can.

As for the company, I have maintained it for those few clients I still have, though I no longer actively seek new work under that mantel. As a sole trader, I found it easier (and in some ways, better) to market myself as an individual. Clients and public have a closer affinity to me as a person, than as a company. So for this reason, square peg design is now dormant. I am still very much active and if you need work done, please do give me a shout, I’m only happy to help!
